The sequence is the one a careful salon uses: look at the coat, agree the length, bath, dry, cut or de-shed, then nails and ears. Your vet keeps medicine and surgery. When a coat is badly matted, or a short-nosed dog is asked for on an August afternoon, the desk says so before the van leaves Reading.
